RentBeagle supports equal housing opportunity. Everyone deserves a fair shot at a fair rent.
Our commitment
We follow the federal Fair Housing Act and the Texas Fair Housing Act, which prohibit housing discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex (including sexual orientation and gender identity), national origin, disability and familial status.
- Our listings, filters and quiz describe buildings and places, such as prices, sizes, parks, trails and distances, never the kind of people who live in or should live in an area.
- We do not let anyone filter, rank or target listings based on a protected characteristic.
- When we add advertising, ads will not be targeted or excluded based on protected characteristics. See Advertising & independence.
If you experience discrimination
RentBeagle does not lease apartments, but if you believe a landlord or property has discriminated against you, you can file a complaint with:
- The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD): hud.gov/fairhousing or 1-800-669-9777
- The Texas Workforce Commission, Civil Rights Division: twc.texas.gov
- Your city’s fair housing office, if it has one. Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston and San Antonio each run a fair housing program.
