Advertising & Independence
RentBeagle works for renters. That is why we never take money from the buildings we compare.
Our promises
- No money from properties. We do not accept payment, advertising or anything of value from landlords, property owners, property managers or apartment listing services.
- No paid placement. No building can pay to rank higher, earn a “Great deal” label, appear in the match quiz or be shown on the map.
- Rankings are formula-based. Deal labels compare each building’s price with similar apartments (same bedroom count) in the same area. Special tiers are based on what the offer is worth in free rent. See Data sources & takedowns for how these are calculated.
Advertising
RentBeagle does not show ads today. When we add them to keep the site free:
- Every ad will be clearly labeled “Advertisement” or “Sponsored.”
- Ads will never come from landlords, property managers or listing services.
- Ads will never change rankings, deal labels or quiz results.
- Ads will not be targeted, or excluded, based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, familial status or any other characteristic protected by fair housing law.
- We will update our Privacy Notice before any advertising technology is added.
